Young artists (18-29 years)
Four half booths are devoted to 18 to 29 year olds in the greater Gatineau region who are on the path of becoming professional artists either by their studies or their experiences. To exhibit at Art au Pluriel, they must submit their portfolio to the jury and if selected, could have access to the dedicated booths at reduced cost. Young artists may exhibit only once at Art au Pluriel in order to permit other young artists of the Outaouais region to participate.
Booth costs and sponsors
The Executive Committee encourages selected artists to actively participate in getting sponsors. All sponsorships will contribute to the costs associated with the installation and promotion of the event and to the grants given to artists. In return for getting sponsors, the artists who have collected an approximate value of 100$ in sponsorships will receive a 20$ discount on the costs of the location of their booth.
- Golden booth : 500 $ for a full booth for two consecutive years
- Silver booth : 300 $ for a full booth for one year
- Bronze booth : 175 $ for a half booth for one year
- Young artists booth : 50 $ for a reserved space for young artists
- Each booth includes:
- neutral color partitions (drapes),
- You must specify your needs when you will submit your registration (grids, tables, etc).
- grids (one grid measures approx. 30” wide by 70’’ in height),
- OR tables with a tablecloth (each table measures approx. 30x72” if you require a flat surface to showcase your work),
- A combination of tables and grids may be requested and will be provided according to the demand and space provided,
- you may also choose not to have any grids or tables in order to exhibit you artwork (eg.: installations, tri-dimensional artwork, etc.),
- Fifty (50) invitations will be given to each of the exhibiting artists.
Sharing booths
Following requests from artists, the Executive Committee of Art au Pluriel has chosen to allow two artists to share one booth, if both of them are retained by the Selection Committee.
Two artists wishing to share a booth must still individually submit their registration package and indicate on their forms that they wish to share a booth. The name of the artists sharing the space must be specified. They must submit their individual photos of their artwork and provide all the required information. The Selection Committee will then determine if they are chosen. Finally, they must both submit the non refundable 30$ registration fee. If they are selected, the two artists must then submit a cheque for the total amount of the rental fee (the cost of their booth).
Each exhibiting artist at Art au Pluriel will have a photo of their artwork with a short biography and a hyperlink to their website (if it’s the case) on the website of Art au Pluriel.
