Because there is no one to take over the organization of the art show most sought after by collectors and art lovers of the Outaouais region, Art au Pluriel must cease its activities. Founded in 2006, Art au Pluriel was not only a network of visual artists but also an event which showcased diverse and high caliber artworks produced by local artists. Thru the years, we built and strengthen relationships with the business and political community, the artist community, the local media and with other community groups. Thanks to their generous support, Art au Pluriel managed to grab public attention which made the yearly exhibiting artists in November happy. Finally, the organization talent of the organizing committee and the dedication of the volunteers ensured the annual success of Art au Pluriel. All funds of Art au Pluriel will be given to the Centre d'intervention en abus sexuels pour la famille. The materials of Art au Pluriel will be given to Conseil des Arts d’Aylmer. The website of the event will remain open until November 2012. As for the virtual gallery, www.artaupluriel, it will continue to exist. In closing, I would like to personally thank Jean-Yves Guindon, Maryse Gaudreault, André Turbide, Robert Sarrazin, Esther Lapointe, Jocelyne Langis, Denise Huppé, Claire Andrée Bourgeois, Nicole Lavoie, Louise Paradis, Claude Sirois, Michèle Le Courtois, Maryse Brunet-Lalonde, Lise Massicotte, Serge Samson for their support during this beautiful adventure that has been Art au Pluriel. |
